How is OctoStudio related to Scratch?

OctoStudio and Scratch are two separate coding platforms for creative learning. OctoStudio is a new app designed especially to work on mobile phones.

OctoStudio and Scratch are both block-based coding environments that enable young people to create their own interactive projects, and both are based on research by the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. OctoStudio is managed by the Lifelong Kindergarten group, while Scratch is managed by the Scratch Foundation.

OctoStudio is designed for use on mobile phones and tablets, so you can create simple animations and games anytime anywhere. You can shake, tap, and tilt to interact with your projects, using the sensors in your mobile device. With OctoStudio you can directly send your creations to friends and family.
