Learning resources for OctoStudio

To get started with OctoStudio, we encourage you to explore, play, and tinker with the app! Here are learning resources that can support you, whether you are exploring yourself, with your family, or with your students.


Getting Started

Check out the Getting Started video in the app or on the Support page to learn about features in OctoStudio, and how to get started with making projects.


The app has Welcome screens and Starter cues to support new users, which will appear the first time you open the app. You can toggle these features to stay active in Settings.Settings icon gear


Sample Projects

Try the sample projects in the Explore section of the app. You can learn from playing with these examples, and making changes that you can save to your own project list.Explore icon compass

Within the project editor, you can select the Ideas icon to import code stacks to try in your project.

The OctoStudio reference guide provides a list of all the coding blocks along with tips about other features.


Octo Sparks✨

We invite you and others in our global community to join Octo Sparks✨, an exchange of projects, ideas, and joyful making with the OctoStudio app. Each month, you can create and share projects inspired by a specific theme, announced at the start of the month in OctoStudio social media channels and the OctoStudio email newsletter.


Stay Connected

Our YouTube channel provides inspiring project ideas and tips for creating a wide range of projects with OctoStudio. You can subscribe to find out about new ideas and offerings.


Parents and educators can sign up for the OctoStudio mailing list to stay updated about events and educator resources from the OctoStudio team!
